PMI Qualifications

The Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is  the project management qualification of choice across global companies.
 
A Project Management Professional (PMP) has
  • Met specific education and experience requirements
  • Agreed to adhere to a code of professional conduct
  • Passed an examination designed to objectively assess and measure project management knowledge.

PMI uses the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) which is generally accepted as best practice within the project management discipline.
 
As an internationally recognised standard it provides the fundamentals of project management, irrespective of the type of project be it construction, software, engineering, automotive etc.
 
PMP Eligibility Criteria
 
Option 1
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Plus 7,500 hours in a position of responsibility leading and directing specific tasks
  • Plus 60 months of project management experience
Option 2
  • Degree (or equivalent)
  • Plus 4,500 hours leading and directing specific tasks
  • Plus 36 months of project management experience.

PMI Project Management Professional – 5 Days
 
The Project Management Professional (PMP) examination is the certification programme sponsored by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and is based upon the PMI's Body of Knowledge (BoK) This programme leads to an internationally recognised qualification.

This five day course has been designed to provide a complete understanding of the PMI approach to project management for those people who will apply it to their projects. In doing so participants will be prepared for the PMP examination which can be taken at a later date. This course will involve a significant amount of evening work to maximise the practical work and consolidate the principles covered during the day.

To provide a complete and practical understanding of the PMI Body of Knowledge and the implications of applying it to projects of different types and sizes. This course will prepare participants for the PMI Project Management Professional examination which can be taken later.

Hold a high school diploma or secondary school qualification and provide evidence of 7,500 hours of project work over the 5 - 8 years prior to this application
