What is the APM ? (Association of Project Management)
The Association of Project Management is the largest independent professional body for project management in Europe. It has over 14,500 individual and 350 corporate members throughout the UK and abroad.
The aim of the APM is to develop and promote project management across all sectors of industry and beyond., and their mission statement is: "To develop and promote the professional disciplines of project and programme management for the public benefit"
At the heart of APM is the APM Body of Knowledge; fifty-two knowledge areas required to manage any successful project. We promote the use of the APM Body of Knowledge through qualifications, accredited training, research, publications and events.
APM is a founder member of the International Project Management Association (IPMA), a federation of 36 national member associations, and APM membership can offer members access to an international network of project management specialists and events.
APM qualifications are aligned to IPMA's 4 level structure, based on the IPMA competence baseline, in addition to their own APM Body of Knowledge.
