Notes:
The APMP Qualification is an intensive five-day foundation professional qualification awarded by the Association for Project Management. It provides one of the very few internationally recognised qualifications in Project Management that are easily accessible. It tests knowledge of the basic principles as enshrined in the APM’s Body of Knowledge (BoK) and BS6079 in two tests. The first 3 days interactively develop the relevant topics from the syllabus with participants who are encouraged to improve their understanding during the evenings. Day 4 is a revision day that simulates the exam with typical questions answered in an open forum with participants able to use notes and APM’s Pathways book for reference. The first part of day 5 is given to revising any areas where the participants require further clarity. This is followed by the 2-part exam. The first is a 100-question multiple-choice paper and the second is a written answer paper. Results are usually available within 2-3 weeks of the exam. Although the APMP Qualification is available to all, it is recommended that participants should have been working in a project environment for some time and are familiar with the techniques and language involved. It uses a proven discursive technique along with practical exercises where appropriate. All participants will receive a copy of APM’s book – Project Management Pathways.
