Course Content
The course content for the first 3 days considers the various elements of PRINCE2, with the 1-hour Foundation examination taking place on day 3. Work on days 4 and 5 will consolidate knowledge of PRINCE2 and revision ready for the 3-hour scenario based Practitioner examination on day 5.
The successful completion of both Foundation and Practitioner examinations on this course provides the delegate with PRINCE2 Practitioner status.
Background
PRINCE2 - PRojects IN Controlled Environments is a written description of how to manage a project in a logical, organised way, following defined steps. It is a structured management process which emphasises the importance of an organised and controlled start, middle and end to a project. PRINCE2 is considered internationally as the best practice technique for Project Management.
Initially designed for use within the public sector, its phenomenal success has seen it increasingly being adopted by forward thinking private sector companies. PRINCE 2 can be used for any type of project regardless of scope or size.
Who should attend?
Individuals who have a project management role and want to demonstrate a recognised level of competence through a formal qualification. Managers from any discipline who want to understand a controlled approach to managing projects.
Pre-course Work
Delegates are expected to complete pre-course preparation work, and evening work during the course.
Pre-requisites
There are no pre-requisites but experience of working within a project is beneficial.
Examinations
There will be two examinations:
1-hour Foundation examination consisting of 75 questions with multiple choice answers.
3-hour scenario based Practitioner examination.

General Joining Instructions
Times: The course will commence at 9.30am on the first day of the course, and finish at approximately 5.00pm each day. Start times of other days will be at your trainers discretion.
Examinations: The Foundation examination will take place on day 3 at approximately 3pm.
The Practitioner examination will take place on day 5 at approximately 1pm.
Refreshments: All refreshments and lunch will be provided for you.
Delegates are expected to complete 10 15 hours pre-course preparation work.
Delegates should also anticipate 2-3 hours of evening work per night during the course.
