Who will the course benefit?

Anyone with a basic knowledge of Project wishing to learn the essential skills to use Project 2002 effectively or wanting to refresh their skills before attending a Level 2 course.
 
Course Objectives

To be able to create, resource and manage projects, including costs, using a variety of powerful features. Produce effective data using time saving options such as reports.

This course will enable delegates to:
  • Define MS Project Default Settings.
  • Build and edit a project plan.
  • Create and assign resources.
  • Manage project costs.
  • Resolve overallocations.
  • Track actual progress.
     
Prerequisites

Delegates should have some existing experience of the product, or be migrating from another project management application.

Using Project Guide
Working with AutoSave.
Building and editing a project.
Estimating task durations.
Structuring projects.
Task grouping.
Managing deadlines.
Creating and assigning resources including materials.
Fundamentals of resolving overallocations.
Managing and updating actuals.
Overview of filters, views and reports.
Printing.
