Risk Management is a distinct and specific area of the APM  Body of Knowledge and a key control function within any project or programme.  The APM Project Risk Certificates at levels 1 and 2 are designed for project and programme managers involved in Project Risk Management.

At the end of the course candidates will be able to: 
  • Achieve detailed level of understanding of project risk management and its application throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Substantially contribute to the project risk management process within their own companies and, with experience carry our formal project risk management themselves.
     
Attendees

Individuals who currently work as part of a project team and who wish to gain a recognised qualification in risk management.  It is beneficial if the delegates have a basic understanding of the Association for Project Management's APMP qualification or have a good understanding of project management and a basic understanding of the fundamental concepts of risk management.
 
 
Assessment Outline
 
Level 1 - This is multiple choice paper designed to determine an individual's knowledge of project risk management, sufficient to allow an individual to contribute to the formal process of risk management
 
Level 2 -  This is a written examination designed to establish an individual's capability in project risk management, sufficient to allow an individual to undertake formal project risk management.
