Background
Projects bring together resources, skills, technology and ideas to achieve business objectives. Using a structured project management method such as PRINCE2 helps an organisation to ensure that these objectives are delivered to an appropriate level of quality and within the constraints of time and cost. It is also an essential element in managing the risks inherent in change and innovation.
PRINCE2 is used extensively throughout the public sector in the UK and is also widely recognised and used commercially in the UK and abroad. The method can be applied to all kinds of project including information systems projects.
Course Description
The event covers the processes, components and techniques included in the PRINCE2 Project Management Method. The course prepares delegates for the Association of Project Management Group (APMG) Foundation exam (included in the course).
The course lasts for 3 days and includes the following:
- Instructor-led Tuition

On completion of the course the delegate will have:
- Defined a project
- Distinguished between the Components, Processes and Techniques used in PRINCE2
- Identified the terminology used in PRINCE2
- Sat the PRINCE2 Foundation examination
The event is recommended for team leaders, project assurance and project support staff who are responsible for managing/supporting projects using PRINCE2. The course is suitable for all staff working on any type of project. Previous experience of PRINCE2 is not necessary.

Prepare for and take the PRINCE2 Foundation Certificate examination.

Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites other than an awareness of project work.
Examination and Certification
The Foundation examination is a one-hour multiple-choice paper. All successful delegates will receive the PRINCE2 Foundation certificate from the APMG.
