Notes:
PRINCE2™ Foundation

PRINCE2™ has established itself as the premier approach to managing projects. PRINCE2™ is generic – capable of being applied to any kind of project – scaleable and business-driven. Organisations that have adopted the PRINCE2™ have claimed that they have been able to achieve greater customer satisfaction during and at the end of projects, to reduce costs and to realise greater benefit from project deliverables.

The PRINCE2™ qualification is now established as an external competence measure by organisations in the UK, the Netherlands, Australia and elsewhere.

Designed for

Practising project managers, project leaders and project coordinators and who wish to gain formal recognition of their skills by taking the PRINCE foundation examination.

Prerequisites

This is not a general project management course although it provides a sound framework for other techniques. Delegates should bring to the course some experience of participating in projects. Typically between twelve months is the minimum necessary experience of working on projects
.
How you and your organisation will benefit

You will find apparently dry theory brought to life where you will not only be able to sit the Foundation exam, but will have a sound grasp of this best practice project management method.

By the end of this course participants will be able to:
  • Understand the need for project management and how PRINCE2™ meets that requirement
  • Understand the PRINCE2™ process model
  • Prepare project plans using product based planning techniques and undertake risk analysis and management for the project
  • Prepare information for inclusion in a Project Initiation Document
  • Understand techniques for the management of product development, quality control and change control
  • Take the PRINCE2™ Foundation examination paper
