Objective

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:
  • Understand structural and systematic aspects of project planning and control.
  • Perform analytical techniques of project planning and cost control using manual and computer-based techniques.
  • Explain and perform the practical role and general duties of project planning and cost control for the project manager and the Project Management Team.
  • Relate to various project management philosophies in a variety of client and business environments.
  • Understand the contribution of improved project planning and control to the project management performance of a company.
Attendees

Individuals from commercial or technical backgrounds, graduate, project and discipline managers, supervisors, superintendents and co-ordinators who need to understand and learn how projects are planned and controlled in industry and their company's clients. Delegates who have attended progressor™ and who now want specific planning and controlling knowledge and experience.
 
Pre-course

Delegates are assumed to have little or no prior knowledge of computing and what they need, they will acquire during practical exercises with prepared cost and planning examples. Laptop computers will be supplied for use throughout the duration of the course. Delegates are also welcome to bring their own laptops.
