This course is aimed at Programme Directors and Managers, people involved in strategic business change as well as Project Managers and support staff involved in Programmes and leads to the MSP Practitioner course (Included in the course)
 In addition, the course forms a relevant development route for Project Managers who wish to enhance their career skill set or undertake higher responsibility.

This course will enable delegates to
  • Implement effective Programme Management processes, which could include identification, individual definition, portfolio management, delivery benefits and Programme closure.
  • Sit the APMG/OGC MSP examination
  • Understand the principles that underpin successful Programme Management
  • Apply the principles of MSP to Programmes in an organisational environment
  • Demonstrate how the OGC methodology provides a Programme framework

Identification of stakeholders and analysis. The stakeholder map. The communication plan and channels; 
Issue resolution and risk management
Programme risks and risk management strategy, issue log and risk register. Programme and Project risks and issues; 
Business case
Evolution and management of business case. Project business cases relationship;
   
Benefits management and managing benefits
Definition and process, direct and indirect benefits. Benefits management strategy and the benefits realisation plan. Measurement mechanisms. Benefit profiles. Transition management. Benefit realisation; 
Planning and controlling
Programme plan. Planning and scheduling. Resource management. Control arrangements. Progress monitoring and performance measurement; 
Governing a Programme
The Programme plan and tranches. Programme dependencies and the Programme plan;

Course includes MSP reference manual, all teaching and exam fees, copies of visuals used during the event, spiral bound course manual.
Course is built around the APM Group syllabus and is delivered by an APM Group accredited and experienced programme/project trainer. This course is delivered in
