ITIL Intermediate

At the Intermediate Level within ITIL there are 9 modular courses.  Each has an exam included within the course and successful delegates will receive the appropriate ITIL Certificate.  These are all titled as "ITIL Expert Certificates".

The courses are grouped into 2 streams.  The "Service Lifecycle" courses align to each of the 5 core ITIL manuals.  The Service Capability courses focus on specific ITIL processes in more depth. Each Service Lifecycle certificate provides 3 credits towards the total of 22 required to become an ITIL Expert.  Each Service Capability course provides 4 credits.

It is possible to "pick and mix" from the various Intermediate modules to suit the requirements of you and your organisation.  There are some constraints to ensure a good mix of topics is covered.

The first 5 courses will be available from October 2008

Service Lifecycle Modules:

- Service Transition

- Service Operation

Service Capability Modules:

- Service Offerings & Agreements

- Operational Support & Analysis

- Release, Control & Validation

The remaining modules and the higher level "Managing Across the Lifecycle" training courses are scheduled for release in January 2009.

It is a requirement for all these courses that you hold the ITIL V3 Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management, or you hold the V2 Foundation plus the Foundation Bridge Certificate.
