ITIL Expert (v3)

In time, this qualification will supersede the existing ITIL Manager Certificate.  It will evidence extensive practical experience as well as successful study of the full range of ITIL topics.

Unlike its predecessor, this qualification will be obtained through sustained achievement at the Intermediate level – as well as a high level management course.  As such it will mark out those with the knowledge and commitment to lead best in class IT Service Management functions.

Achievement of the ITIL Expert qualification requires 22 credits of which 5 will be earned from the high level management course.  Credits will be earned through success at all exams whether within version 2 or version 3.

Exams

There is no single exam for the ITIL Expert Certification though the “Managing Across the Lifecycle” course and exam will be the final step for most.  The only alternative is a “Bridge” course and exam for those who wish to update their existing ITIL Manager certificate.

Pre-Requisites

Candidates wishing to take the Intermediate exams and obtain the ITIL Expert qualification must hold the ITIL Foundation Certificate in Service Management.
