Course Outline

At the end of this course you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Ability to plan for the implementation of Change Management
  • Knowledge of prioritising and assessing the impact, cost, benefit and risk of proposed changes
  • Organising the Request For Change (RFC) authorisation process
  • Preparation for and management of the Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings
  • Management of changes through their lifecycle
  • Production and management of the Forward Schedule of Change (FSC)
  • Ability to define and agree change models and standard changes
  • Knowledge of building, testing and implementation of authorised changes
  • Co-ordination of the back-out of failed changes
  • Awareness of the support tools and techniques available for the implementation of Change Management and ability to indicate how improvements can be made
  • Ability to prepare for Change Management reports for distribution throughout the organisation and monitor and report on the major metrics of the change process
  • Understanding of the interdependencies between Change Management and other IT and Service Management
