Course Summary
The course will prepare delegates to sit the ISEB Practitioner Intermediate Certificate in Software Testing.
It is suitable for all those who are engaged in any aspect of software testing including test analysts, test engineers, test consultants, test managers, user acceptance testers and software developers.
Delegates should be software testing practitioners with 18 months experience who already hold the ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Certificate and who wish to develop their skills to a higher level.
Successful candidates will understand the principles and practice of planning and controlling testing projects.
The exam is taken on the day following the 3 day training but note that the exam fee is included. Additional revision and coaching is provided during the morning of the 4th day.
The examination will test candidates' ability to apply testing principles to practical settings. To verify that candidates have made the transition in thinking from problem solving at Foundation level to that required at Practitioner level, the Intermediate examination uses scenario based questions structured in multiple choice format. The time allowed is 1 hour, and the pass mark is 60%.
