Course Content and Objectives
This course provides an opportunity to undertake the Principles of Change Management
Foundation exam. Our standard event consists of four 1-day modules. The Foundation exam can
only be taken on completion of all four modules as detailed below. Delegates who do not wish to
undertake an exam can attend any standalone module of their choice.
1. Module One Individual Change
2. Module Two Team Change
3. Module Three Organisational Change
4. Module Four Leading Change
To Principles of Change Management Foundation exam is a one-hour, 68 multiple-choice
question paper, covering all four modules.
The Principles of Change Management course provides delegates with a qualification which
complements OGC’s guidance on project, programme and risk management, but which also
stands alone.

The course is designed to give you the ability to cover the following aspects of Change
Management:


Module One - Individual Change
Focusing on how the individual is affected by doing something new and learning new behaviours.
At the end of this module you will have an understanding of why people may react in different
ways to Change and how you can influence their approach.


Module Two - Team Change
Building on Module One, Team Change looks at the important role that teams play in delivering
change, the factors that make an effective team and the skills of the team leader.


Module Three - Organisational Change
Building on earlier sessions, this module enables delegates to learn key ways of understanding
organisational change and develops the idea of organisations as ‘models’. Delegates then
explore how organisaitonal models can be used to effect and manage change more effectively.


Module Four - Leading Change
In the final workshop of the Principles of Change Management, change is considered from the
perspective of the Leader, the difference between Management and Leadership, the emotional
roles and competencies of being a leader, and how leaders effect and deliver organisational change.

This is subject to tuning by the Event Manager to reflect the needs of each event.
